Counseling Modalities

My primary modalities used in sessions are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),   Solution Focused Brief TherapyEMDR (for PTSD and trauma),  and Couples Therapy in a family systems modality. I aIso use guided imagery, mindfulness, meditation and self hypnosis.  In each of these therapies, historical information is taken to consider how the past impacts the present.  But the focus is mostly on the here and now and finding solutions for present day problems.   I typically meet with you every other week or if necessary, weekly.  Sessions are 50 minutes long.
